Dear Families,
I am writing to inform you that Happy Valley Primary will be closed from 2.15pm on Thursday 12th September 2019 due to a vote for industrial action by members of the Australian Education Union at this site.
The Education Director has approved the closure on the grounds that insufficient staff will be on duty to enable me as Principal to ensure that adequate standards of children safety and welfare can be provided.
Normal education programs will resume on Friday 13th September 2019.
All students will need to picked up at 2.15pm. Please be advised that the OSHC will be available to cover the period of the industrial action. Families who wish to use this service must book a place by contacting the OSHC on 8322 2411 by 12 noon on Wednesday 11th September 2019 to ensure appropriate staffing ratios are maintained. Families who have not booked a place at the OSHC by this time will not be able to access the service.
