We grow carrots in our Stephanie Alexander kitchen garden.
We plant them all year round .
Carrots are a type of root vegetable and it grows underground .
The carrot is usually orange in colour but you can get purple, white and red too.
The carrots growing in our garden at the moment are just starting to shoot.
