Grounds Working Bee

Today we had a small group assist in tidying up some of the gardens at school in preparation for a busy term 4.

Our helpers were…..
-Wendy (our new granny again!! Congratulations)
-Nigel, Emma & Jack
-Matt, Martina, Scarlett & Violet
-Dan & Karla
-Renee, Jagger, Jamieson & Jimmi
-Mike & Charlie

And a very special mention to Cherron & Cameron for the very yummy chocolate muffins.

It was a fantastic effort by the group & We managed to get the following done today…..
– mowed grass boundary around oval, along footpath, back neighbours fences & along the reserve. (The neighbours thanked Mike for his efforts!)
– slashed weeds in Pipe Garden, Isabella’s Garden, & Edible Garden.
– gave the chooks a few barrow loads of greens from the gardens.
– picked up broken glass from a smashed bottle in the shed on the oval & a glass window pane that had been smashed all over the netball courts last Wednesday night.
We are slowly getting on top of the weeds & are hopeful of the kids having a great term  learning in the garden.
Our next Working Bees are planned for Sunday 3rd November & 8th December. Let’s start promoting these dates now to hopefully get a good turn out!
