OSHC and Vacation Care

Royal Adelaide Show Art Entries

Here at Happy Valley Primary School, we are very lucky to have such a dedicated and caring OSHC, they give the students many opportunities to try and do very different things. One of the opportunities that the students are given, is to enter a piece of Art work into the Royal Adelaide Show. The pieces of Art Work that the students get to make varied greatly and include;

  • Hand Embroidered Article
  • Three-Dimensional Craft Work
  • A Puppet or Puppet Head
  • Clay Work
  • Drawings (Different categories within)
  • Paintings (Different categories within)
  • Two-Dimensional Craft Work
  • Photography (Different categories within)
  • Craft construction

A lot of time and effort is put into all of the Art Work and it is a huge credit to Sarah, Kay and the rest of the staff, that so many students get this opportunity. Afternoons are spent sewing, stitching, drawing, painting, building, the works, and it is no easy task but every year it gets done and every year many of our students receive awards. This year a total of 65 students entered some sort of Art Work into the show.

Each year it seems like the Art Work gets bigger and better, and more creative. This year we had a number of winners. Below are the students that came 1st, or 2nd, or 3rd or received a Certificate of Merit.
